World of Warcraft Review – GameSpot

The biggest complaint one can make about Legion is that it does so many things so well that it serves to remind you that World of Warcraft is now a mosaic of more than a decade’s worth of different design principles. Cataclysm revamped the entire vanilla WoW experience, but players who want to roll alts or start WoW for the first time (and experience it in its entirety) have to play through Burning Crusade and Lich King content, which just aren’t half as smartly designed as WoW in its current incarnation. Blizzard keeps getting better at what it does; six expansions in, it shouldn’t feel like a chore to get to the game’s best content–but it does.

Steam Accessibility Yosemite

Keep getting asked to enable the assistive devices permission for the Steam app even though it already IS enabled?

Close Steam and go to System Preferences\\Security & Privacy\\Privacy\\Accessibility and disable Steam. Open Steam. When it asks you to enable support for assistive devices, deny permission. Close Steam. Go back and enable Accessibility. Open Steam. Rejoice.

Closing Out

The year is finally at at end! I’ve been reading and enjoying a bit of Skyrim lately. It is really the most impressive game I’ve seen in a very long time. It’s quite a treat on the PS3.

I also had a chance to visit Bangkok for a few days and did little but eat the entire time. Thai food is just heavenly. The hotel on Suriwong Road was new to me and quite comfortable, with friendly staff. It would have been nice to know that the stairs are for people, and the elevator for luggage, though I suppose the trudge up them did me no harm.

I’m looking forward to a much better 2012. It will begin with a teacher training program that is quite intense, yet invaluable for both personal proficiency and an internationally recognized certification.
