My Brilliant Mother
Thought I would go down to the Woodlands library to borrow a couple of books on Korean history, albeit with my mother’s card. Long story short: basically, my brilliant mother threw out a couple of magazines she thought were trash (although, as I informed her much too late, they were library books). Consequently, I owe the library about 40 bucks for losing them, money which I’m not inclined to pay given the financial situation I’m in at the moment. In any case, I could not borrow the books I’ve selected, because mother has not used her library card for over 5 years, and now her account is deactivated –> meaning, she now has to go down to any library personally to reactivate it. [Another sidenote about my brilliant mother: she does not know there is a library located in Takashimaya Shopping Centre.]
