Gigapocket sad facts: “All is not doom and gloom The kind people from Sony advise that there is an update to Gigapocket that can be downloaded from their site that will knock the Direct X problem on the head – I’ll try this and let y’all know what happens. There is a way around the sound problem in Gigapocket too. What you do is open the PC up, and you will find a jumper lead going from the motherboard to the Gigapocket card. Disconnect this, and run the lead from the Gigapocket card to the AUX IN on your Soundcard and voila, you will hear sound without switching to record mode!”
